You are welcome to join us in our outreach:
Soup Kitchen: Every Friday night for over 26 years we have offered a free dinner to anyone who comes. Teams of 12-16 people purchase supplies, prepare, and serve a meal to over 100 people. If you are interested in serving in this ministry please contact the office.
Clothes Closet (coordinated by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew’s) We offer our Friday dinner guests the opportunity to select clean clothes from our clothes closet. Anyone may contribute gentle used clothes to the clothes closet by dropping the items off at the church office during the week. We look for clothes for everyone, however, our greatest demand is for men’s clothes appropriate to people struggling to find safe shelter or keep a roof over their heads.
Pathways of Hope & New Vista: We constantly are collecting canned food for the pantry at Pathways of Hope, a Fullerton Interfaith community effort.
Orangewood Children’s Home: Throughout the year we have different initiatives to provide for the foster children awaiting homes at Orangewood Children’s Home. Jeans, blankets, toiletries — whatever they need we are open to providing.
Project Hope: We provide diapers, pajamas, and other essential needs for homeless families served by Project Hope.
Get on the Bus: support and enable children to visit their parents in prison
Kairos: We provide meeting space for the Kairos ministry that offers support to families with family members in jail or prison.
Covered in Prayer Ministry: We make quilts, shawls, throws or any other handmade item for home bound people, infants, and families in need.
We provide financial support to Good Samaritan Hospital and Canterbury college chaplaincy services. We also provide financial support to two west coast seminaries to ensure broad based theological education relevant to our progressive theological direction.
