Join us for a time of reflection as we explore the waiting time of Holy Saturday—the space between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Our Quiet Day will include morning prayer, lectio divina, centering prayer, and a sharing circle to close the day. All activities are optional and there will be ample time for journaling, drawing, personal prayer, and just resting. A light breakfast and snacks will be available, and participants are requested to bring their own lunch. You are welcome to join us for all or any part of the day. Come on out for a free jazz concert from 4-6 p.m.! Bring a picnic, bring the family, and enjoy some fantastic music from Joshua Wood and the West Coast Combo. Join us on the lawn--bring a blanket or some chairs and make a picnic of it! (If the weather is rainy, we'll be inside!) BYOB and some free snacks and beverages will be available, too.

The DOK will hold their Spring Assembly on Saturday, May 4 on Zoom from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The featured guest speaker is the Rev. Canon Victoria T. Hatch, the first woman to be ordained a priest in the Diocese of Los Angeles. The God With Us chapter at Emmanuel, Fullerton will be hosting a watch party for the event. If you're interested in joining, you will find the registration on the DOK Diocesan website, www.doklosangeles.org. Please register as a guest ($0 fee option) if you are not a member of the DOK. If you would like to join the watch party at Emmanuel, please notify Judy Lieb at judy_lieb@mac.com to let her know you'll be attending.

Looking for a way to stay connected with the members of St. Andrew's? Look no further than the Son Shine Ladies! This group of women meets once a month for tea, and their mission is to spread joy through well wishes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and other special occasions. They also offer support to those who need it most, whether it's "get well" wishes, special thoughts, or condolences for the loss of a loved one. The Son Shine Ladies are self-funded and have been meeting since September 2021. Join them on the penultimate Thursday of every month at 11 a.m. in the Orange Room for a delightful hour and a half of community and connection.
